Chris Cloutier
Chris Cloutier has over 29 years of state law enforcement experience and retired as the Major (Deputy Chief) for the Warden Service. During his field time with the Warden Service, Chris was an active member of MSEA (Maine State Employees Association), and served as a union steward and chief steward. He worked on labor negotiations at both the small and large tables, participated on multiple labor management committees, participated on the Statewide Grievance Committee, and worked on retirement legislation. During his career with Warden Service, he served as a Game Warden, Game Warden Sergeant, Acting Game Warden Lieutenant, Game Warden Captain, and retired as the Game Warden Major. In addition to negotiation, and labor experience he served as the head of Internal Investigations as the Captain providing him with the necessary best practice models dealing with personnel matters. He also spent considerable time at the MCJA Board of Trustees as designee in the Colonels absence and has lots of experience with Maine LE Licensing issues.
Chris served as the Vice President of the Interstate Violators Compact, and lobbied at the Massachusetts State House, in a successful effort to pass legislation allowing Massachusetts into the compact. He has spent considerable time in front of the Maine Legislature and is well respected among policy makers and law enforcement professionals in the State.
Chris is also a graduate of the 257th session of the FBI National Academy where he developed a large network of law enforcement contacts across the country and the State. Please give him a warm welcome as he jumps into the Maine FOP LE Labor family.
